Operationalizing Social Media

I posted a column at the Marketing Health Blog about some of the ways that the FDA's first social media guidance is helping industry overcome the regulatory challenges of participating in real-time dialogue.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

Twitter Profile Updates

Twitter announced today via a blog post that they are rolling out a new profile page format. For pharmaceutical marketers using Twitter, this means updating profile pages and if a product is mentioned, refiling the updated pages with the FDA under form 2253.

I mentioned this issue in a discussion of the Facebook adjustments to its brand pages just a few weeks ago.

DTC National Speaking Engagement Scheduled

I've been invited to speak at the DTC National Conference in Washington DC on April 22. As always, link to the conference is on the right under "Upcoming Speaking Engagements."

I'll be participating both in the master class about digital marketing and on a panel led by Mark Bard of the Digital Health Coalition. If you are not familiar with Mark's group, check it out. They are doing good work to further the discussion.

Staying Compliant in a Social World

I just posted my presentation from last night's meeting of the Philadelphia chapter of Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). Here's the link.

I'm curious what your impression is of the presentation. I make available most of my public presentation decks, but frequently, I just post the deck I presented without any alterations, and I design presentation decks very differently from decks that are intended to be sent for reading rather than presentation. So, let me know what you think

RAPS PHL Meeting Moved

Tonight's presentation to the Philadelphia RAPS chapter on the January social media guidance from the FDA has moved venues.

Previously, we were at the Homewood Suites in Malvern.

We moved across the street to Baxter's.

The address is 20 Liberty Boulevard, Malvern, PA 19355. It's in the Shops at Great Valley plaza.

There's no registration fee for the new venue, so no concerns about registering late. Join us at 5:30 in Malvern!
